A Virginia driving record is a DMV document. It lists the convictions Virginia's courts have reported, the demerit points assigned to each, the suspensions and revocations the DMV has ordered, and the current status of the licence. It is not a criminal record and it is not the court's file, which is why a charge can be off one and still on the other.
